This week we had some special guest come
in to teach and promote rugby to the children.

                                            RUGBY EXPERIENCE- By Milovale
The year six children participated in rugby activities with Manurewa rugby club. We line up and was put into 4 groups. I was in group 2. The first activity that group 2 played was getting our knees up and stepping to help get a try. How I felt was this was very useful for me and the girls in rugby. As we play next term for Rowandale School. I learnt a new skill when I was running. In my mind I told myself to not look back. if I looked back you will lose energy and slow down in your running. It felt like I was in a real game and it was like a challenge for me. But it was kinda easy the next activities for group 2 was kicking. There was different kinds of kicks. The first kick was a drop kick. Second was a high punt kick. The third kick was a grubber. My favourite was high kick because it was like my hardest  kick. The last game we played was a tag game. We had to get into 2 teams and one had bibs the others didn't. One team had to pass the ball around to each other and try and tag the person. It was fun.
